Currency & Living Costs
The currency in Seychelles is the 'Seychelles Rupee (SCR). United States Dollar, Euro, British Pound and South African Rand can be exchanged at most forex outlets and major banks across Seychelles. Most establishments accept credit cards, with VISA and MasterCard being the most common and widely accepted. American Express and Diners Club are accepted at selected hotels.

Tax Refunds for Visitors
Visitors leaving Seychelles can claim a refund on Value Added Tax (VAT) of 15% on certain taxable goods purchased during their stay in the Seychelles. Before entering the Departure Lounge, there is a Customs Office nearby where clients will have to go and show their VAT receipt alongside the goods bought. Once this procedure is done, clients can proceed to Departure Lounge going through Immigration and Security, and then guided to collect their refund should there be any.
